For NDIS Families

Neurodivergent?

Anxiety?

No art experience required.

Struggle to express emotions?

Low self-confidence?

Reluctant to communicate?

Trauma?

Art therapy for neurodivergent children, teens, and young adults.

Individual and group sessions, online, NDIS plan-managed and self-managed.

A space where your child doesn't need the right word, just curiosity and a safe space to explore.

Examples of what families have come to me with so far:

  • Big emotions that feel impossible to name or explain

  • Meltdowns or shutdowns that leave everyone exhausted

  • Selective mutism, or a child who goes quiet in certain settings

  • Anxiety around social situations, school, or change in routine

  • Feeling like traditional talk-based support hasn't landed

  • Wanting connection and regulation tools that don't feel clinical

If any of this sounds familiar, you're in the right place.

I'm Lou Lou, a Masters-trained Art Therapist registered with ANZACATA.

I've worked in trauma-informed therapeutic roles with neurodivergent children and teens for over 8 years.

Art therapy gives kids a way to process and regulate without needing to explain themselves in words, often the exact thing talk-based approaches ask of them and struggle to get.

The therapeutic relationship is an important one. This is a chance for us to 'suss the vibes', a low pressure, gentle way to see if we meet on a level that works and to answer any questions.

We cannot be everyone's cup of tea, and that's ok!

This is a 20 minute online chat.

If you're ready to jump straight in, let's do it! The first session is for holding space, a slow introduction, a gentle place to land and reflect.
This is often where a grounding, gentle art activity can appear, letting the creativity flow, and a sense of what sessions can look like.

Sessions run for 60 minutes, online.

Continuing the process, facilitating a space for you to feel supported.
Most participants choose weekly (especially to begin with, building up our rapport and using the space to become routine). This is ultimately up to you, we can work together to find a pace that suits your needs.

60 minute online sessions.
